Jack is still warming up to his sister. Lately he's taken to patting her head or pointing out her facial features. Sometimes he'll even say, "Mommy, Baby Sister's so cute." (He still doesn't like to address her by name) One day, as he was listing Lily's features, he pointed to her eyes and said, "Blueberries." This made me laugh. He stills calls them that. I like how in this video he says, "Check it out!"

Xmas Eve Eve
Last night Dave's best friends from high school visited us! They came bearing gifts and dinner and cookies! Scott and Sarah are in Denver now and Steve is in New York. It was great to see them and catch up. When those three are together it's as if they are still in high school. I didn't get too many pictures but I love the one of Jack with the two guys. Scott and Sarah brought Jack a bunch of Curious George books so Jack wanted to get right up next to the guys and read to them. I have to admit I was impressed with Steve's baby skills. He sat with Lily for awhile (think baby whisperer). I know for David especially, seeing them was a great present. Merry Christmas Eve everyone.

Winter Wonderland
The snow started on Friday! Jack was excited then that his dad was getting home early from work (the office closed early due to the weather). On Saturday there was a lull and then on Sunday the snow started up again in full force. It's still snowing! We are hibernating here. Hope you're all safe and warm and enjoying your holiday week!

Bridget and Tracy Morgan
Bridget flew home to Rochester this morning and Tracy Morgan was on her flight. He used to be on Saturday Night Live and is now a regular on the show 30 Rock. He's really funny. Anyhow, she managed to get a picture with him. When she asked if she could get a snapshot with him, he was all for it. Then afterward he asked to see the shot and said, "Look Beauty and the Beast." He then said, "Don't let anyone else call you a beast, ok?" My mom told him she liked his coat. Niiiiice.

Move Over Carpenters, Hello Bobby Darin
The song, "Somewhere Beyond the Sea," is featured at the end of the movie "Finding Nemo." Jack loves this movie and I recently started hearing him hum this tune. I finally downloaded it on itunes. As you can see, he loves the song and is quickly picking it up. It makes me smile to watch him sing because he puts his heart and soul into it. He's a little crooner in the making. Watch out Buble.

The Letter "T"
Here's some pictures from the other day. In the first one Lily, to me, looks alot like my sister did when she was a baby. Jack was actually acknowledging his baby sister on this day. He gave her a kiss and then proceeded to give her an alphabet lesson. I figure she'll be reading by 2 with the help of her big brother. I'll have to post some new pictures of Jack this week because he got his hair cut and looks like a mini David. They both have the same "style" now!

Special Outfits
I swear I'm not just playing dress up! These outfits are special to me. The first picture is of Lily wearing a dress I wore as a baby. It was from my dad's family in Ireland. In the second picture Lily is wearing the outfit my Grandpa Ted had given me the first time I was expecting (when he was convinced I was having a girl). We had our girl eventually! I'm glad she will have these pictures to look at one day. She looks like a floppy little doll in these photos.

The Golden Girls Visit
The Schaefer ladies visited us this weekend. Jack was smitten with so many beautiful women around. I'm not joking either. He went up to both Jenny and Maddie to give them a kiss without any prompting. Dave kept joking with him, "Hey Jack, at least buy them dinner first!" Anyway, it was so nice to see everyone. They showered us with gifts which is always fabulous. Just think, this will be Julie in a few more months!!
