It was snowing today so I thought I should post these pictures to remind myself that we do get sunshine and warmer weather every so often. David snapped these photos when Toni visited. There's a playground at the end of our street and this was the first time the kids had been since the summer!

Congratulations!
Kate and Steve got engaged yesterday! Talk about unique proposal! Thrilled for you both. Here's the link to the story: Kate and Steve . We can't wait to see what the future holds. We also would like to submit your names for Amazing Race. If we're your agents, can we get a slice of the pie? Haha. Cheers!!

Lily's Dictionary
Lily loves to coin words. I decided I need to start writing them down. Here are a few favorites:
- stengled - when your phone or toy is getting lots of feedback or static because the battery is low.
- bungled - when you have alot of phlegm in your throat
- crump - vomit
- muster - a blister on her toe
- tippy - her go-to adjective..."I'm feeling tippy. This looks tippy."
Cabinet Facelift
You might remember this is what our cabinets looked like when we moved into our house. Please note the beautiful wallpaper, fun square light and oak strips that adorn each cabinet.
And here's what they look like today. Wallpaper gone. Oak strips painted to match the cabinets. Hardware installed. David helped make the tranformation possible. We can live with this for awhile. The strips were making me cringe every time I looked at the kitchen. They're just not my thing. I think the hardware helps alot too.

Fun!
We had beautiful weather when Toni was here. It was so good for the soul! We've been cooped up for awhile. On Saturday we were able to sit outside, grill, take the kids to the playground and then go for an ice cream. It was a perfect day. Funny story... We went to Bill Gray's to get an Abbotts's cone on Saturday night. The place was packed. We went to sit down and on the radio the song, "Life is a Highway" came on. Jack loves this song. It's in the Cars movie. Well the song comes on and all of the sudden Jack is standing up next to our booth, facing the rest of the restaurant, and yells, "ATTENTION EVERYONE! Can you please be quiet so I can hear my song?!" He's already commanding crowds.

I Wonder If Mark Zuckerberg Used To Do This...
Toni came to visit us this weekend. The kids had been looking forward to seeing her for a long time. We were bummed that Dave couldn't join her but he was in China (the idea of his schedule exhausts me). I remembered to take a few pictures while she was here! Jack is really into electronics and computers. He already loves Best Buy as much as Toys R Us. We have to actually limit his activity because I think, if it were up to him, he would spend hours on the computer. It's amazing how quickly he picks things up too. He knows how to skype, he can send an instant message, he can update a status on Facebook and he can check his stocks. Haha. He loves some of the websites like starfall, pbskids, abcya and tumblebooks. He also loves playing games on our iphones...especially Angry Birds. Here is a picture of Jack helping Toni play Angry Birds. She was stumped on one of the boards. (Jack is standing next to me while I'm typing and just said, "She can never finish the boards...you should type that.)

The Medical Offices of Drs. Archer Are Now Open
Sometimes it is really heartwarming watching the kids play together. Yesterday they decided to be doctors and set up their own clinic. I guess maybe they've been to the doctor quite a bit lately. Anyway, they lined up all their "friends" and had them sit in the waiting room. Jack was the attending physician and I think Lily kept going back and forth between his nurse, receptionist and doctor. Lily also wore a chef's jacket since she thought it was close enough to a white coat. I took these pictures with my iphone so they are a bit grainy. I wish you could have heard the medical advice/recommendations being doled out by these two. "Your ears are really red. They look infected Pigeon. I'll get you some medicine." "Oh, Dolly? You were throwing up? You should have some giggle soup and gatorade. Rest over there."
Here is Lily examing Jack's ears. He had an infection.
