Firm Halloween Party

Yesterday we went to Rochester because Dave's firm was hosting a halloween celebration for the kids (don't worry I checked with my doctor before we went). By the time we got there alot of the kids were already having cider and doughnuts. Jack wanted to make the rounds trick or treating. It was really nice. All of the attorneys had candies and treats outside their offices. One woman had spider rings and Jack took one and started singing as loud as he could, "The itsy bitsy spider..." He was pretty well behaved until he found some file cabinets that weren't locked. So, here's our elephant. He wore that costume the entire time (even with the obnoxious trunk)! And no, we're not trying to make any political commentary. Toni said Dave should have dressed like a donkey!!

On a completely separate note, those law offices have the most amazing views of Rochester. We went into a conference room that was surrounded by windows. You could see downtown Rochester and the river. It was so pretty lit up at night. Sometimes I think Rochester gets a bad rap but I could have sat in that conference room for a long time just taking in the view.

The Cow Jumped Over the Moon

I took this video the other day and it makes me laugh. The moon was still visible in the sky and Jack was obviously very excited about it. Every time he sees the moon he either tells me about the "moonshine" or the cow that jumped over the moon. I love the urgency in his voice. Also, I love how abrupt the ending of the video is. He is always getting into things. That's our man!

The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree

I found this picture of David the other day and it reminded me of someone. TGIF!!

New Wheels

We finally made a decision about a car. Check out the new toyota corolla! I'm happy that Dave has a nice car to drive. The best part is that this car is an automatic so I can actually drive it. If I had any level of patience I could have driven the Accord too, but alas, I do not. I drove the Corolla to my doctor's appointment this morning and I must say it was a nice ride!

Raking with Dad

Jack wanted to help with the leaves this year. I think we need to get him his own mini rake. On a personal note, one of the unfortunate parts of being very pregnant in the fall is not being able to help rake. It's a real bummer. Instead I took pictures. The weather was gorgeous this past weekend!

"I've got this section, daddy"

Jumping in the leaves!

What do you mean the Bills aren't going to air on local tv?

Jack kept trying to walk on our neighbor's bricks like a tight rope.

Phew! The raking really tires me out!

The Great Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday we decided to finally check out The Great Pumpkin Patch in Clarence. The place was a zoo. There were thousands of people there. Anyway, the highlight of the trip was watching Jack ride a pony. He loved it. We saw a few animals and tons of pumpkins and that was that. Here are a some pics.

Less Than One Month To Go!

We had an ultrasound this past week and everything looks good. Although admittedly, I cannot tell anything from the ultrasounds. I find it more difficult when the baby's bigger! (Think Rachel from "Friends")

Anyway, it's hard to believe in a few weeks we'll have another baby around here! So much to do, so little time. Jack really has no idea what's going on. He seems to like babies but I'm not sure he'll be as enamored with one that actually sticks around. :) If you ask him what name he likes he still says, "Telly," as in Telly Monster from Sesame Street. We'll keep you posted.

Great Friday!

Jack had an awesome Friday. First we went to get his hair cut. I wouldn't let them lop off the curls but he was really in need of a trim. I think he enjoyed it this time. The place has tons of toys and videos for kids! After the haircut we went to Wegmans and he scored a bagel while I shopped. Bagels are better than chocolate to Jack. Then, after we got home we got an awesome package in the mail from Toni and Dave. Jack was determined to open this himself (see first pic). As soon as he saw the books inside he grabbed them and sat down on the carpet to read them. It reminded me of something his dad would do. There were tons of goodies inside--including a Halloween Mr. Potatohead and clothes for Jack and baby girl Archer. Jack also had fun with the box. It's the package that keeps on giving. Happy Friday.

Jack-o-Lantern

I wanted to get a nice picture of Jack in his pumpkin sweater. Unfortunately, he's not into sitting still or posing these days(more into talking on my phone and bouncing on couch cushions). This was the best I could come up with.

AHHHH!

Yesterday Jack and I were upstairs and when we came downstairs a certain talk show was on the tv (I had left the station on). I can honestly say I NEVER watch this show. I don't think I've ever seen an entire episode. So you can imagine my surprise when Jack pointed to the tv and said, "Hey, Dr.Phil." I was bewildered...not to mention a little spooked. How does my two year old son know who Dr. Phil is?! Then I realized that there is a regular segment on Sesame Street that features Dr. Phil and a muppet named Dr.Feel. So now Jack recognizes Dr. Phil, Billy Fuccillo, oh and Jim Kelly (to who he yells, "Go,go,go, go Bills.") I'm so glad I have the opportunity to explain this one because all I could think of was having my mom or Toni here once the baby arrives, and Jack saying, "Hey, Dr.Phil!" We like to tackle the hard core issues with our toddler.

Fashion Show

We decided to try out some Halloween costumes this weekend. I had a Winnie the Pooh costume from our neighbor and a dog costume from Ann. I wasn't crazy about the Pooh costume because it was a little small (and Jack looked like he was miserable). I loved the dog costume but it was a little small. Poor Jack's little face was crammed into that hood. So then we went to TJ Maxx this afternoon and I picked up the elephant costume. I figure it's probably one of the last Halloweens where I can dress Jack in a cute animal costume. Soon will be the days of superheroes and action figures and ghosts. These shots have to make you smile!!

Decisions

Apparently Jack still had a milk cup leftover when I gave him some juice the other day. He kept alternating: milk-juice-milk-juice. Then he tried to drink both at the same time. (Don't worry, the milk was still ok). I wish these were the types of decisions I had to make now.
