Happy Baptism Day to My Godson

Colin Patrick Tracy was baptized today. He is simply beautiful and was such an angel during the mass. When the priest poured the water over his head Colin actually seemed to enjoy it. I especially loved when Father said, "Can you please adjust the cloth to fit under his chins (yes chins plural)?" The day was all the more special because Colin was surrounded by his fan club. There were so many friends and family around to celebrate. The priest introduced Colin to the congregation before we had a private ceremony. He also acknowledged my brother for being in the military which was pretty great. Afterward one of Kevin's old football coaches came up to say hello. Maybe he was trying to size up Colin to recruit him one day. :)

Anyway, after the service we went to Nicole's grandparents' house for a wonderful celebration. Nicole, as usual, did a fantastic job organizing the day. The food was terrific! Between her, her mom, and aunts, I think they could open a catering / event planning business.

I feel so honored to be Colin's godmother. It made me happy today to witness just how much this little boy is loved. God bless you sweet Colin.

Lots of pictures........................

What a good looking family!
Lily was content to be in my mom's arms and suck her thumb

"Oh Colin, did you just see daddy's mustache? I know."
Just kidding Kev. I love this picture. I love that little face even when it's scrunched up and teary.
The menfolk at the party.
Grandpa Jim and Colin
Jack's two new best friends (and maybe my future babysitters)...Nicole's cousins
There was paparazzi at the party
Maybe Lily will take after my cousins and become an Irish dancer. She seems to like dancing up and down whenever she's given the opportunity. What do you think Moe?
"Is that the REAL Colin?" I heard Nicole's aunt say that and it made me laugh. There was a baby boom recently among Kevin and Nicole's friends. Little boys everywhere!

Larry, Moe, Curly, Daryl and other brother Daryl
Lily and Grandma. Lily is taking after her brother with her love of carbs. Yes, that's an entire roll she's trying to cram in her mouth.

Kevin and his friend Jim. It's kind of crazy seeing Kevin and his friends as dads now.

Seneca Park Zoo

We met up with Nicole and her family at the Rochester zoo yesterday (they were gracious enough to let us tag along). The bonus of the day was getting to see my chubtastic little nephew Colin. He is so cute. And, he is as fair as Kevin with deep blue eyes. One thing is for certain--Colin is not lacking for attention while he is in Rochester. His grandparents looked pretty comfortable tending to him. And, I think he's on to the fact that if he makes some noise, someone will carry him. Who wants to sit in a stroller when you can get held? I wish I had gotten a picture of Colin without his hat. He's rocking a little auburn mohawk right now. Also, the quality of these pictures aren't that great. I think my lens was foggy. Oh well. At least you get the idea.

Jack and Aunt Nicole on the train. I think they looped around about 120 times. Poor Nicole. Jack loved every second of it.

Hi Mom!
Lily looks like she's going to eat her shoe. Check out the gams. Have I mentioned she's really taken a shine to table food? Also, she's not wearing a bonnet. The hat was too big and kept covering her eyes.

Family Shot (Colin's watching his mom) Nicole trying to manage both boys. Love the look on her face in this one as Jack is about to launch.

Colin was appropriately dressed in zoo attire

Mommy and Son
Look how blue his eyes are! I think he was getting sick of my camera at this point.

Jack found something to climb that was legitimately designed for climbing
He was hysterical over the fact that this sea lion kept swimming up to him.
Good times. I knew that when Jack whipped one of Lily's bottles and almost hit an orangutan, it was time to go. Looking forward to all the cousins being together again. :)

Indoor BBQ's Are All the Rage

We had a few friends over yesterday for a bbq. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and we were forced to spend most of the afternoon indoors. Oh well. At least there was no shortage of good food, entertaining shenanigans from the kids (ok, mostly Jack) or interesting conversation.

Brennan reiterating to Jack why he is in "time out"

Lily apparently digs older guys.
