Movin' Right Along

This video makes me think of the dance number from "The Producers" with the grannies and their walkers...

I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm ...

David and I traveled to Richmond, VA this past weekend to attend his cousin's wedding. Terrance and Jennifer got married on a BRISK fall day in Virginia. It was great to see all the family and despite the cold, the wedding was a blast. The bride and groom seem a perfect match. The details were lovely from the goodie baskets to the couture gown to the pashminas and flip flops. However, nothing outshined the smiles on Terrance and Jen's faces.

The reception was held at the botanical gardens in Richmond. Nobody could have foreseen that the temperature would drop as it did this weekend. Most people had to wear their coats as we sat for dinner because the tent just didn't serve as much of a barricade. I don't think the bride and groom even noticed. And after awhile, I think most people forgot about the cold and just danced the night away. David and I got to sit at the "older cousins" table. I told him my face hurt (yep I'm waiting for the line) from smiling so much. They were hysterical. Jack and Lily stayed behind with Grandma in Rochester. They were perfectly content and a little sad to leave Grandma.

My pictures didn't turn out that great and I'm disappointed that I missed some people and don't even have a decent shot of the bride and groom together. Oh well.

These are the "Prom Pictures" ...

Toni always says she doesn't take great pictures. I think she is lying.

This is David's Uncle Warren (Dave's brother) entertaining the table. That family likes to bust chops and trust me, you can tell they are brothers.

I know they look pretty sophisticated here...engaged in conversation and donning their suits. Don't be fooled though. (just kidding!)

No, they are not in Tehran. They're waiting for the taxi and trying to keep warm.

Another Farm Trip

Us Archers can't get enough of pumpkin farms it seems. We visited Kelkenberg farms with Jack's school a little while back. It was such a lovely day to be at the farm. This place was great for kids too...smaller, less expensive and geared toward the smaller kids.

Me and My Sunshine

This picture is the best. Jack had lots of area to explore and search for pumpkins. David is

doing his best to keep up!

He was talking to the sheep here.

They really milked a goat (and it creeped me out a little)

Thanks Aunt Kate and Uncle Matt

The packages continue to roll in. Jack got several packages from his Aunt Kate this past week. They contained several classic Disney films (which in case you were wondering we have already watched).

Showing me the goods.

Trying to relax and watch his movies but SOMEONE keeps getting in the way

I also have to thank Matt because he is going to buy Jack hockey lessons. That's only fitting! We have to get on it because Matt is after us to get him signed up. Last week when I was getting estimates for our furnace one of the guys happened to have played hockey for Buffalo State. I mentioned that my brother-in-law played for Geneseo and then the guy talked my ear off for about 45 minutes. He wanted to know which players I knew, when I was signing my son up to play, if my son had his skates yet and how old was my son because his son was 5 and my son was as big as his. So, we will hopefully be signing Jack up for lessons. To borrow a phrase from my brother..."when in Rome." If you live in Buffalo you almost have to sign your child up for lessons. Our kids are so fortunate to have such wonderful and thoughtful aunts and uncles.

Checking out pictures

The Daniels family sent a sweet package the other day filled with alot of goodies. One of the items inside was a small photo book with pictures of Jack and Atticus from basically birth to a couple months ago. Jack loves his little album. So does his mom. It made me a little misty to see how much they've grown! Looking forward to adding more pictures.
