Autumn in New York

"Let's take a moment to pause and reflect on this beautiful day."

Trying to help his dad rake

Lil watching the boys

Isn't this sweet? I have to say (not that there was ever any doubt) that I have the BEST husband. I was having major anxiety last night after watching the news (between the news out of Afghanistan and the swine flu --it makes me sick) and didn't sleep very well. Anyway, this morning after David left for work there was a knock on the door. I opened the front door and there was my husband with a starbucks for me. If that isn't romance I don't know what is. I burst into tears (a little emotional right now). Then Jack said, "Bye daddy. Thank you for talking to us." That was the best way to start my day. (Oh, and my dad got a call from my brother this morning so that always makes me feel better!)

Had to get on the bike in this lovely weather

At what age do you think we can hand him the leaf blower?

Car, I was thinking about you and your family last night when I saw the news about the crashes in Afghanistan. So glad to hear you got a call from Kevin and that all is well.

And Mr. David, don't you just deserve the Husband of the Month Award?! It's not the fact that you brought her Starbucks, it's the fact that you KNEW bringing her Starbucks would be a surprise she would love. See, folks? It doesn't take a diamond tennis bracelet to keep the homefires burning, just a knowledge of what coffee confection your wife prefers and a five-spot. He's a keeper, Carrie.

Miss Lil is so cute in that little polka dot coat. She looks like she was supervising the action.

And Mr. Jack can feel free to come on over and rake our yard any day. I'm not too scared to see how he can handle himself with a blower!

I love Lily's coat! And, I think Jack could manage a leaf blower just fine.
That Dave...
Glad to know that a cup of Starbucks made your day a little brighter. Maybe you should write them, and then you guys can do a commercial!
