The beauty of this shot is that it is not posed at all. Lily came up behind Colin and bear hugged him. I need to find a picture of Kevin and I when were this little...

Feliz Navidad
We had a wonderful Christmas. Kate visited first then headed off to Rochester. Toni and Dave came on the 22nd and then Matt made it in on Christmas Eve (thanks to Michael!!! What a guy!). It was an action packed week. We enjoyed having so much family around. Santa was good to us too. Must be the Archers have been better than we thought. ;)

Grandpa Dave had to get on the computer and Jack thought it would be appropriate to get his laptop and work alongside him
Playing with the new Spaghetti Playdough Factory
Great times! Miss everyone already!
Pre-Christmas Visit
Kate came to spend time with us a few days before Christmas. The kids were thrilled to have their auntie around. I love the one shot of Lily with her head in Kate's lap. Sometimes Lily can be shy around people and I thought it was sweet how she went right over to Kate. They couldn't get enough Kate!
Jack opening his new boots from Kate. He loves them too. He kept putting them on by himself!

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!!
Probably my favorite christmas song / moment from the movie "Meet Me in St. Louis"
And to make you laugh my favorite tidbit on exterior illumination:
Wishing all our family and friends (who are with us today and who are missing) a merry christmas and new year filled with happiness, health and good fortune. xoxo

Christmas Concert
Jack had his first concert this morning. It was fun watching so many three year olds sing their hearts out. Jack seemed rather solemn. I'm not sure if he just didn't like the fact that there was an audience or if the surroundings were different or if he's not a performer (not likely). Anyhow, I still think it's so sweet to watch him sing because he seems very focused on the task at hand. He loves music. Afterward, we got to see his classroom and then the whole family went to Panera for lunch. A pretty stellar day if you ask me.
This was taken after the concert. Jack was excited by the fact that he could go in the four year old room and run around on the letter and number rug. Lily stood in the middle to supervise.
Lily was getting tired at this point but seemed rather happy that her dad was there.
