College Reunion of Sorts

This week a few of my college friends came to visit us. I haven't seen Rachel in almost ten years. I've seen Drea a handful of times. The great thing about college friends though is that you can pick up right where you left off. Rachel is living in Charlotte with her family. Drea is a teacher in Macedon with her hubby (who incidentally grew up on my street...he was recruited to play soccer from the Ukraine and his host family lived a few doors down from us. Small world!). Jules is obviously close by and has her own gorgeous family (complete with the chocolate lab). At the risk of sounding hokey, it makes me so happy to see everyone happy and thriving. Jack had a blast playing with Rachel's kids. Rachel's son was born a day afer Jack. Anyhow, the kids ran around dancing and coloring (I had the wall evidence to prove it) and hiding and eating cupcakes (one of my favorite moments was when Rachel's daughter looked at her mom and in reference to Jack snatching another cupcake mouthed the words, "he's had THREE" in disbelief. Ok, need to work on the discipline). Sam C. and Lily just watched it all go down. That Sam is a charmer. I think Lily has her eye on him.

Here are some pics from our get together. I hope we started a tradition because I'd really love to see these guys more often. It's so quiet here now.
