It's official. Kate is moving back to Rochester and we couldn't be more thrilled. It's always special having family nearby and we certainly won't take it for granted. For the past few years, Kate has worked in New York City at Sloan Kettering. I know firsthand what a challenging job she has had and she has worked there much longer than I did. She has had the best preparation for her nursing studies and has also had the privilege of working at a world renowned institution. We know she will thrive in school. But, more importantly, we know she will be a phenomenal nurse.
Having just spent alot of time around nurses I have again realized what an impact they make in so many peoples' lives. I know it's a great career path because of the present demand and the flexibility the job allows. But beyond that, I can't think of many more rewarding jobs. A person remembers a great nurse.
So, good luck to Kate as she embarks on this new journey. We're very proud of all you've accomplished and know the sky is your limit!! See you soon.

PS When can you babysit again? :) Haha.

How wonderful for all of you that Kate will be nearby, and congrats to her as she embarks on this next chapter in her career. And speaking from experience, I can say those aunt/nurse babysitters are the best!
